About the Artist

Edo Ink9 is an Italian tattoo artist from Turin, with Sicilian roots and a deep connection to travel, symbolism, and visual storytelling. Drawing has been part of his life since childhood, later shaped by cinema, photography, graffiti culture, and the underground art scenes he grew up around.
Images captured through film and photography often sparked an instinct to reinterpret them through drawing — a process that naturally evolved into tattooing.
His journey into tattooing began in Bangkok, where he trained at Apex Tattoo School and earned an international certification, an experience that profoundly influenced his understanding of tattooing as both craft and tradition.
After moving to California, Edo developed his craft across multiple studios before finding a home at Surrender Tattoo, in one of his favorite areas of Los Angeles. While versatile across multiple styles, his primary focus is Neo-Traditional, Blackwork, and Calligraphy, while also working in Fine Line and custom projects. He values working with clients who choose an artist through genuine affinity, believing the strongest tattoos emerge through trust, shared vision, and creative dialogue — while remaining equally open to guiding first-time collectors through the process.
His visual influences draw from Greek and Roman mythology, ancient European and Indigenous cultures, manga and Asian illustration, as well as artists such as Kim Jung Gi, James Jean, Banksy and Shepard Fairey. Inspiration also comes from alchemy texts, typography, chemistry books, graffiti publications and street culture.
For Edo, tattooing is both a craft and a passport — a practice that can move through cultures and across borders.
That philosophy continues to shape his long-term vision of creating eco-sustainable artistic spaces where tattooing, nature, food, animals and cultural exchange exist as one immersive experience.
